Anna Wintour could be line to become a US ambassador

Could Anna Wintour be changing careers? This could be the case according to a rumor circulating American news sites. Following his recent reelection, Barack Obama is working to choose new diplomats and is taking the opportunity to thank his most generous campaign donators.

Having organized several benefits in order to raise money for the democrat’s campaign, the renowned Editor-in-Chief of Vogue US, born in the UK and expatriated to the USA, could be on the shortlist for a possible ambassador role.

Given her international profile, Anna could be a good candidate for two positions, either in London or in Paris, a city that she knows only too well. Neither Anna Wintour nor the White House have confirmed the rumor.

This same rumor did the rounds four years ago after Obama’s first triumph at elections but this time round seems to have more credibility after important political journalists choosing to discuss the pros and cons of a such decision.
