The short film, called "Hello Apartment," focuses on the importance of the first home in which women spend the first years of their adult lives, and their relationships with those homes. The theme is inspired by the personal experience of Dakota Fanning, who makes her directorial debut with the film.

Dakota Fanning teamed up on the project with screenwriter Liz Hannah, who co-wrote Steven Spielberg's "The Post." The short film stars Eve Hewson and Christina Rouner, as well as British actor Tom Sturridge.

Dakota Fanning is the 15th woman invited by Miu Miu to direct a short film for the "Women's Tales" series. Celia Rowlson-Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Naomi Kawase and Agnès Varda have also directed films as part of the project.
