Galeries Lafayette: Constance de Polignac named marketing and digital director

The French department store group has announced the appointment of Constance de Polignac to director of marketing and digital, overseeing communication activities for Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais. Polignac joins the executive committee and will report directly to Nicolas Houzé.

Previously, Polignac has worked in the same capacity at Camaïeu since 2012. She began her career in 1996 at Biotherm, followed by Club des Créateurs de Beauté where she successful held marketing, CRM and e-commerce positions. In 2004, she became head of online and offline communications at Unilever France, before joining Sephora in 2006 as the client marketing director for France.

In June, the Galeries Lafayette group announced the appointment of Alix Morabito to fashion director, formerly the deputy director of men's buying. Only weeks earlier, ex-LVMH recruit Mattieu Caloni, became director of strategy and transformation. In January, Les Prairies de Paris founder, Laëtitia Ivanez, was named artistic director of the group's homegrown women's line.

Galeries Lafayette group operates a network of 280 stores comprised of Galeries Lafayette, BHV Marais, Louis Pion, Royal Quartz and Didier Guérin. The group also boasts three outlets and looks to open two more at the end of 2017. With 15,000 employees, it claims a daily attendance of a million visitors and annual sales of 3.8 billion euros.
