Loewe arrives to the world of homeware

The Spanish luxury brand has decided to go down the lifestyle path with interior design and presented its first homeware collection at Milan design week. The idea came from designer Jonathan Anderson, a challenge he presented three years ago when he took over the creative reins of the brand.

“The home has never been so important as it is now, and it’s also the most substantial way for brands to show their talent,” said the designer, who launched the collection “Loewe: This is Home” as a personal expression of artisanal taste along with a mix of different influences.

“When I joined Loewe I brought with me this fantasy of building a cultural brand. I wanted to articulate fashion in different forms and I felt that the home today is more important than ever. I want to explore all the mediums of artisanal construction, but in a modern way,” Anderson explained.

After Milan, the collection, which includes blankets, pillows, furniture, lamps and ceramics, will be presented in the iconic London Liberty warehouses between May 2 and 21. In the meantime, all the pieces are already available for pre-sale on the brand’s website.
