After acquiring Mim in November 2014 from the New Look group, Hong Kong group Main Asia began today the process for the brand's sale.

The announcement was made as Mim closed its fiscal year at the end of March. Figures for the latest fiscal year have not been disclosed yet, though the company stated it generated a revenue of €206 million in the fiscal year closed in March 2015.

"Talks are well under way with a British asset management company, and consultations with the institutions representing Mim's employees are ongoing,"said Christophe Orcel, the retailer's General Manager.

Christophe Orcel took over from President Xavier Dura when Main Asia acquired Mim, having acted for six years as the clothing retailer's CFO.

Mim's sales network currently consists of 366 stores, of which 101 are under licence/affiliated. At the end of 2014 the retailer employed a staff of 2,000.
