Moncler opens first monobrand store in Norway

Moncler has consolidated its retail presence in Scandinavia by opening its first monobrand store in Norway, in the country’s capital, Oslo. The 320-square-metre premises on two levels, for a retail area of approximately 200 square metres, are located in one of Oslo’s most prestigious streets, Nedre Slottsgate.

The store’s interior layout, split into sections marked out by grey stone portals, was designed by French architecture studio Gilles & Boissier, a long-standing partner of Moncler.

The floors feature different materials, from white and black Marquina marble to smoked oak parquet and a fitted carpeting in burnished brown hues. The walls are upholstered in beige leather, contrasting with the recessed showcases in brass, wood and dark metal on the ground floor, and the black wall panelling on the first floor.

As of June 30 2018, the down jacket label led by Remo Ruffini operated 209 directly owned monobrand stores and was available at 65 multibrand retailers. In the first half of the year, Moncler’s revenue grew by 21% at current exchange rates ( up 27% at constant exchange rates), reaching €493.5 million.
