After expanding its men's "Equus" collection with a new "Regulator" back in March, the French watchmaker is adding to its women's range with a recently unveiled "Attelage" model. What's more, the "Equus Attelage" features a novel system for changing its strap as often as the wearer likes.

The iconic Pequignet "Equus" collection -- which draws inspiration from the equestrian world -- has gained a new highly feminine and practical stablemate. The freshly presented "Equus Attelage" comes with Pequignet's patented removable stirrup-style lugs for a quick and easy way to change the watch strap with no need for special tools.

In fact, the French watchmaker has combined a specific, stirrup-shaped lug with a swivel fastener in a patented system that lets wearers match the strap of their wristwatch to their outfit in a matter of seconds.

The "Equus Attelage" comes in several versions. Its polished steel case is available with yellow gold or rose gold plating, for example, and the dial is finished in a choice of silver or mother of pearl, with or without diamonds.

This model uses the ETA 901.001 caliber and has hours and minutes functions. The "Equus Attelage" ships with a calfskin strap with several colors available to mix and match, including brown, purple and red.

The Pequignet "Equus Attelage" women's wristwatch is priced from €990 (approx. $1,123) for the model without diamonds.
