Sandra Halliday named Editor-in-Chief at Fashion Network UK

Published
Dec 1, 2016

FashionNetwork.com is expanding with the appointment of a new UK editor-in-chief and new journalists worldwide.

The company said today that Sandra Halliday has taken on the UK editor-in-chief role and will oversee all content for the UK site.

Sandra Halliday will oversee all UK content

As a business, financial and trends journalist, she has worked in business-to-business and consumer publishing in the fashion, beauty and retail sectors for over 30 years. She was most recently editor-in-chief of trends service Stylus Fashion and has been called on to comment on issues relating to the fashion sector by Bloomberg, the BBC and the Wall Street Journal, among others.

“Our aim is to offer an even stronger service to English-speaking fashion professionals.” Halliday said. “Fashion Network’s unique global model already offers a broad spread of must-read information from all over the world in local languages and that will continue. But we will also be looking at UK news with a more analytical slant and offering more insider interviews to give readers greater insight into what counts in fashion, luxury and beauty today. As always, our global teams will then translate these insights for our sites worldwide, which is an important part of the appeal of the service.”

The new appointment comes as a transformational time for FashionNetwork.com. In the summer it changed its name from FashionMag.com to underscore its positioning as a resource for fashion professionals, and relaunched with a new design. The company is moving this month to a new office in Paris.

It has widened its team of international contributors to boost its ‘always-on’, multi-language model. This means that when Europe is asleep, journalists in Asia, the Americas and Australia are still finding the stories that matter.
