The Kooples launches instant messaging app dedicated to couples

Since its launch, The Kooples put couples at the heart of its product range and especially of its targeted communication campaigns. The brand is now set to reveal on 21st October a mini social network created specifically for... couples.

The Kooples invented an instant messaging app dedicated to couples.

Labelled 'The Kooples Blackout', the instant messaging application will allow users to link up and exchange messages with only one other person only, in theory his/her loved one.

In addition to instant messaging and image sharing, 'The Kooples Blackout', available for free on iPhone and Android, will offer users less conventional functionalities such as the 'Glitch' and 'Blackout' modes.

The former will allow users to send pictures which will only be partially visible to the recipient, so that the latter will have to guess the entirety of the image.

As for the second mode, it's designed to insulate couples inside a bubble. The 'Blackout' mode will in fact allow users, provided both parties have switched it on, to block all calls, text messages and notifications which may happen to disturb their exchanges via the app.

Last June, The Kooples was celebrated by a La Factory NPA survey as the best French premium brand on social media, and this app confirms its couples-oriented brand positioning and its digital expertise. Last July, The Kooples commissioned a digitalisation project to the Doers agency, so that the latter could work on driving the brand's store traffic, on its retail outlets' digitalisation and its brand content.
