In anticipation of his new album “Starboy”, Canadian R&B musician The Weeknd is launching a series of pop-up shops. The pop-up shops will hit multiple cities across the United States. The pop-up shops will be open from November 4th-6th, 2016.

The pop-up shop is designed for fans to purchase clothing and merchandise to assist in promoting the artist’s new album. The Weeknd’s new album is set to release on November 25th, 2016.

This move by the Weeknd is following the huge success of Kanye West and Justin Bieber’s promotional pop-up shops. Since CD sales don’t bring in profits that they have in the past, artists have gotten creative with their strategies.

Bieber received a 64% sellout of his pop-up merchandise (designed by Fear of God’s Jerry Lorenzo) in the first week.

What exactly is being sold at the pop-up shops has not been announced yet. Fans are encouraged to sign up via The Weeknd’s website.
