Adidas names new chief information officer

Adidas has announced the appointment of a new chief information officer. Fumbi Chima will take over the management of the IT department on 1 January, and report to chief financial officer Harm Ohlmeyer. She is set to replace Michael Vögele, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Fumbi Chima joins Adidas from American media company Fox Network Group, where she also held the role of chief information officer. Prior to that, she worked in a similar capacity at British fashion house Burberry and Walmart Stores Asia. In addition to IT, she was responsible for operational risk management and IT security.

I would like to thank Michael Vögele for his commitment over the last seven years,” commented Harm Ohlmeyer, CFO of the German sports manufacturer.
