Adidas’ 'stadium format' stores are designed to house the brand’s performance wear range and all new stores designed to sell performance wear in India from 2019 onwards will be 'stadium outlets'. This store format has already been applied in other countries such as the UK, US, Japan, France, and South Korea.

"Stadium format store is a global concept,” said Adidas India’s Senior DTC Director for Global Sales and Retail, Manish Sapra. “There are limited stadium format stores available in a few countries around the world. Inspired from and deriving elements from world-class stadiums, the stadium format store will have interactive zones for customers and showcases product benefits.”

Adidas India will open four five more stadium outlets this fiscal year.

“From next year we will open stadium format stores in a big way… In the next two to three years, depending upon the life cycle of each store, we will convert all existing performance wear stores to stadium format," Sapra elaborated.

Adidas performance wear stores focus on clothing and accessories designed to be worn when playing sport. Running wear, football kits, and training wear all fall under this category.
