According the Reforma, the duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will head to Mexico to present the Alta Moda collection for women, the Alta Sartoria men's collection and their latest watch offering. Stefano Gabbana himself confirmed the news via his Instagram account; the designer posting a screen shot of the news already reported on the Mexican edition of FashionNetwork.com.

The choice to head to Mexico is not a fortuitous one for the Italian label. According to Euromonitor International, the country was named as the most important luxury market in Latin America in 2016. Also, the Museo Soumaya show will crown an important marketing and positioning strategy, with Dolce & Gabbana entering Mexico 18 months ago.

Under the branding and hashtag #DGLovesMexico, the brand opened two stores in 2017, one in El Palacio de Hierro and the other on Vía Santa Fe, in the capital's centre. In addition, Dolce & Gabbana also entered in new phase in Mexico last year with the launch of its first factory outlet store in Punta Norte.

Dolce & Gabbana is currently stocked in five stores across Mexico, located in La Isla Shopping, Cancún, Masaryk Avenue and in the Santa Fe shopping mall, both located in Mexico City, and shops-in-shop in El Palacio de Hierro Polanco and Andares.

Globally, the brand recorded revenues of 1.296 billion euros for fiscal year ended March 31.
