German etailer About You officially launches in the Netherlands

On October 10 Hamburg-based e-tailer About You officially launched in the Netherlands. The Dutch arrival is part of the company’s Benelux expansion, which was first announced in July of this year. Other European countries are on the way.

Although the e-store was already available to Dutch customers from July, About You announced its arrival to the Netherlands with TV and radio commercials, street posters, and a social media campaign counting down to the official launch.

The e-tailer sells clothing, shoes and accessories for women, men and children. In total, About You offers more than 110,000 products from 800 brands. Clothing brands include Esprit, Samsoe&Samsoe and New Look. The company also has its own lines: About You and About You Basics. For shoes customers are able to choose from brands such as Jeffrey Campbell, Converse, Dr. Martens and Timberland, to name a few. The accessories range includes bags, jewelry, sunglasses and leather goods.

In addition to shopping at the About You website, customers are also able to create a profile in order to join the company’s fashion community. By doing so, customers are able to create their own individual fashion profile, upload and share outfits with the fashion community and discover relevant content - products, brands, outfit ideas, and style tips - on their personal feed.

About You is a company of Collins, which is part of the German Otto Group. The company was founded in 2013 and has 350 employees. In 2016, the company realized a €135 million revenue.
