ICC signs an apparel contract with Numero Uno

Indian denim brand Numero Uno Jeanswear will be the official supplier of clothing for the ICC World Twenty20 cricket championship in India this year.

Numero Uno will also be the retailer of ICC branded apparel and merchandise from February 2016 through to December 2020, the company said in a press release.

The ICC World Twenty20 2016 will start from March 8, 2016 in India and the final match will be played on April 3 2016 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. As an official supplier of clothing for the tournament, Numero Uno Jeanswear will manufacture and retail ICC branded apparel and merchandise, which will be available at selective exclusive brand stores and online portal www.numerounjeanswear.com.

“This tie up is important as cricket is one of the most religiously followed sports in India. With a pan India affinity and following across all age groups, it puts Numero Uno Jeanswear above other jeanswear brands by associating with such a mega sports event. Becoming one of the partners for such a prestigious event highlights the brand strength and attraction of Numero Uno product in the market,” said Narinder Singh Dhingra, Chairman and Managing Director, Numero Uno Clothing Ltd.

The exclusive partnership gives Numero Uno Clothing Limited the license for five years to create the official merchandise range for ICC and to make and retail a range across all the participating nations. The ICC merchandise will be available exclusively at select exclusive brand stores of the company. The specific collection will be available for both men and women at all the leading outlets, the release said.
