Ipanema launches swimsuit line with German partner

Published
Jun 10, 2015

Ipanema Beach is enlarging its universe. The Brazilian brand, which is owned by the flip-flop specialist Grendene, will launch its first range of women's beachwear. The brand is taking advantage of an opportunity in Europe: its exclusive footwear distributor in Germany also produces swimsuits.

The spring-summer 16 beachwear collection - Ipanema.

Ipanema will be releasing its first collection with its German partner for spring-summer 16. The range, which is fairly wide, will include about 50 pieces, primarily composed of swimsuits, bikinis, but also beachwear including dresses, skirts, shorts and tops.

Overall, the range obviously borrows inspiration from the Rio de Janeiro holiday lifestyle, as well as from the colorful seaside atmosphere.

For the moment, the line will only be distributed in German, but the Brazilian brand is open to other possibilities.
