For the 33rd edition of the Hyères Fashion Festival, the Villa Noailles has banked another partner. The Istituto Marangoni - a fashion, art and design school located in Milan, Paris, Florence and Miami - has decided to link up with the event, which takes place April 26 to 30, joining current sponsors Petit Bateau, American Vintage and Galeries Lafayette.

With the partnership, the Istituto Marangoni looks to affirm its support of the next generation of designers. The school also announced that one of its alumni, Korean designer Jinah Jung, will present a handbag collection called, "The Conscious Shoes Collection", made from recycled materials (mostly shoe prototypes), which will be on display in the festival's accessories category.

The emerging design competition is presided over by Christelle Kocher, founder of the Koché brand and artistic director of Maison Lemarié, the French feather manufacturer, which entered the Chanel fold in 1996.

Designer Haider Ackermann will oversee the fashion prize, having recently relinquished his post as creative director of LVMH's Berluti, to be replaced by Kris Van Assche.
