Masha Ma is the new creative director of Kolon Sport China

The sportswear and outerwear brand Kolon Sport China has recruited designer Masha Ma to act as creative director for the coming seasons.

The designer Masha Ma, who is already at the head of her own ready-to-wear brand, has been appointed creative director for the luxury brand Kolon Sport China, reports WWD. The brand is renowned for its sportswear, outerwear and lifestyle collections.

Their collaboration, which is set to begin in the spring of next year, will focus on both womenswear and menswear. The first pieces will be presented in Beijing in January, and launched almost immediately. WWD points out that this will be a long-term partnership, which could see the designer supervise the Kolon team for three more seasons in the wake of this initial offering.

Masha Ma will be in the spotlight in Paris on October 1 for the presentation of her own ready-to-wear brand's 2018 spring-summer collection.
