Messe Frankfurt is expanding its portfolio in the area of textile care by buying Clean Show, the largest trade fair for textile care in America. Clean Show is held every two years rotating throughout the US.

Attracting more than 11,000 visitors and 481 exhibitors at the latest Las Vegas event in 2017, Clean Show is one of the fastest growing trade fairs in the US.

It was owned by five trade associations, which will continue to work closely with Messe Frankfurt in the future.

The first edition under its new ownership will open its doors from 20-30 June 2019 in New Orleans. Then, it will be held in Atlanta and Orlando in 2021 and 2023.

Recently, Messe Frankfurt also acquired ET Expo Paris and the merger between China Laundry Expo and Texcare Asia.

Its new acquisition in the US will allow the company to expand its position as a leading supplier of trade fairs for textile care.

Based in Frankfurt, Texcare International has been the leading trade fair for the industry since 1956. In recent years, its network has grown with trade fairs in China, the United Arab Emirates and France as well as conferences in emerging markets under the heading ‘Texcare Forum’.

Messe Frankfurt’s strategy also enjoys the support of long-standing partners of the four-yearly Texcare International: VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies and the German Textile Cleaning Association.

“With the Clean Show, we have purchased America’s biggest trade fair for textile care and gained another module for our worldwide network of events for the textile-care sector,” said Wolfgang Marzin, CEO of Messe Frankfurt, on the strategic expansion.

“Recently, JET Expo in Paris, the premier fair for French-speaking markets; and China Laundry Expo, merged with Texcare, joined our portfolio. We now hold trade fairs in all major economic regions and offer synergistic effects for both exhibitors and visitors,” Marzin continued.

Clean Show will continue to run with the support of its former owners, five US trade associations including the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI), TRSA, the Coin Laundry Association (CLA), the Association for Linen Management (ALM) and Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA).
