Nona Source (LVMH) uses young designers to promote its circular model

Nona Source is strengthening its ties with young designers, who make up a large part of its customer base. Seeking to increase its visibility, particularly with these emerging talents, the platform for reselling dormant fabrics from the LVMH luxury houses has decided to call on designers to promote its circular approach. It has appointed Cecilie Bahnsen, Karoline Vitto, Nensi Dojaka and Victor Weinsanto as ambassadors.

From February to December 2023, they will use the fabrics selected by the site, "to fuel their creativity and come up with inspiring, low-impact looks within their collections", while "working towards more responsible fashion", says a statement. The aim is to raise awareness of Nona Source's activity. This collective, called "Mindful Creatives", will be renewed each year.

An international panel has been formed; France's Victor Weinsanto; the Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen, a finalist in the Andam and the LVMH Prize, who has been showing in Paris for the past two years; the Brazilian designer based in London Karoline Vitto; and the London designer of Albanian origin Nensi Dojaka, who won the LVMH Prize in 2021.

As a reminder, in the new 2023 edition of the LVMH competition dedicated to young designers, each winner will be offered specific support and a financial endowment to acquire fabrics from Nona Source.

The start-up was founded in 2021 by Romain Brabo, Marie Falguera and Anne Prieur du Perray, accelerated by LVMH's "DARE" intrapreneurship programme. Born as a digital concept, it has since opened physical showrooms in Paris and London.
