Pitti Uomo announces another 3-day edition for January

Faced with the uncertainty still looming over the coming months, Pitti Immagine has decided to take a prudent approach to its next winter season. This January, the organizer of Florence's trade shows will replicate the reduced format that it tested out in late June and early July with its return to physical events, following a year of pandemic-related disruptions.

An encounter during the 100th edition of Pitti Uomo - Pitti Immagine

As in June, the two main trade shows – Pitti Uomo, the menswear show that will be hosting its 101st edition, and Pitti Bimbo, the children's apparel event celebrating its 94th edition – will take place simultaneously and in the same venue, Florence's Fortezza da Basso, from Tuesday, January 11, to Thursday, January 13, when they will present collections for Fall/Winter 2022-23.

The only noteworthy change is the fact that the event's calendar has been brought forward one weekday. The winter session will run Tuesday through Thursday and not Wednesday through Friday, as was the case of its previous edition. The idea is to avoid the customary exodus of buyers on Friday. The event will once again take place at the beginning of the season.

Elsewhere, Pitti Filati, which preceded Pitti Uomo and Bimbo in the June-July season, will be held later, from Tuesday, February 1 to Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Florence's Stazione Leopolda.

Reduced to three days, versus the normal four, and welcoming some 400 exhibitors – only a third of the usual 1,200 – the last joint edition of the Pitti menswear trade show and Pitti Bimbo attracted 6,000 visitors, including 4,000 buyers, between June 30 and July 2.
