The luxury footwear brand owned by First Heritage Brands (which also owns labels Delvaux and Sonia Rykiel) announced on Wednesday the appointment of its new creative director, David Tourniaire-Beauciel. He succeeds Roland Mouret, who spent six years in the top design post at the label, and who will now focus on the development of his own brand.

Perry Oosting and David Tournaire-Beauciel - Robert Clergerie

David Tourniaire-Beauciel hold a certain weight in the world of luxury footwear - originally from Romans-sur-Isère, location of the Robert Clergerie studios, he has previously collaborated with Martin Margiela, Chloé, Givenchy and Balenciaga on their shoes. His first models for the French label will be for the Autumn/Winter 2017/18 collection, and is set to propel the label in a substantially new direction beginning with the Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

Founded in 1981, the Robert Clergerie label recruited a new CEO last year in the form of Perry Oosting. The Dutchman, formerly employed at Bulgari, Prada and Gucci, succeeded Eva Taub in his new post. The brand has 20 monobrand stores across the world, in France, the U.K., Switzerland, Spain, the United States and South Korea.
