Stella McCartney designs Justin Timberlake's tour wardrobe

Published
Mar 15, 2018

Justin Timberlake will wear a selection of pieces from Stella McCartney’s menswear Autumn Winter 2018 collection during his ‘Man of the Woods’ world tour as part of a new collaboration between the American pop star and the British designer.

This is the second time the pair team up, following on from Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl half time performance when he wore a custom McCartney design.

This is an interesting partnership for Stella McCartney, who presented her menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week for the first time last week, following the launch of the men’s line at the end of 2016.

The collaboration with Justin Timberlake – a world-famous style icon - will help raise the collection’s profile and reach a new audience.

“Justin has such innate style, and he embodies our menswear collection in many ways. Collaborating with him on his world tour wardrobe is an incredible opportunity…I’m so thrilled and proud that he chose Stella McCartney Menswear,” commented the designer.

As part of the partnership, Stella McCartney created a wardrobe for Timberlake, his dancers and band members. Timberlake will wear camo splatter Prince of Wales check bomber jackets, combat trousers, chevron tracksuits and tailored flannel styles, as well as bespoke designs.

The edit has been designed to work with Timberlake’s own wardrobe, so that he can mix and match all pieces to create distinctive outfits for each performance.

Meanwhile, dancers will wear Martin Ridley wildlife prints on shirts, hoodies and t-shirts made of organic cotton, as well as short and long sleeve t-shirts in striking chevron style. The 15 piece band will wear camo splatter printed blazers, bomber jackets, waistcoats and shirts.

Justin Timberlake’s ‘Man of the Woods’ North America and European tour, kicked off in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday and will see the musician visit 42 further cities over the next 10 months.
