VF names new vice president of The North Face EMEA region

Worldwide apparel and footwear company VF Corporation has named Jan Van Leeuwen as the company's new vice president and general manager of The North Face Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

As VP and general manager, Van Leeuwen will oversee The North Face brand strategy throughout the EMEA region, managing the brand’s marketing and consumer engagement initiatives. In addition to this new role, Van Leeuwen will also ​serve on The North Face's Global Leadership Team.

Van Leeuwen joined VF in 2011, holding various roles with Vans EMEA and most recently serving as the footwear brand's vice president and general manager. Prior to joining VF, Van Leeuwen served in senior positions for companies like Sole Technology, O’Neill and Nike. 

“We are happy to welcome Jan to The North Face team,” said Arne Arens, global brand president of The North Face. “Working closely with the global and regional management teams, Jan will play a key role in continuing to drive momentum for the business and in bringing our brand values to life for associates.” 

According to a company press release, the outdoor apparel brand has experienced 11 consecutive quarters of double-digit growth in the EMEA region. The brand also operates throughout the Americas and Asia Pacific. 

In addition to The North Face, VF Corporation's portfolio of lifestyle brands includes Vans, Timberland, Wrangler and Lee.
