Want Les Essentiels on Friday launched a new knitwear collection for spring 2017. The seven-piece collection is comprised of lightweight staple pieces for men that are crafted in Italy from Loro Piana threads.
Collection pieces such as a tailored cardigan, classic crewneck and rollneck sweaters, and bi-color button-up shirts are lightweight and breathable and feature luxurious fabrics, including cashmere.
The Montreal-based brand introduced knitwear in previous seasons and launched small capsules to their own retail channels. The new knitwear collection marks the first time the brand launched a full collection of men’s apparel. In past seasons, Want Les Essentiels introduced cashmere blankets, throws and accessories.
Want Les Essentiels first expanded its product offering beyond accessories in 2015 with men's footwear and an eyewear collaboration with Garrett Leight. The brand launched women's footwear in the following year.
The spring 2017 knitwear collection is available at the Want Les Essentiels New York City flagship and at Want Apothecary stores in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. The collection will launch at the Want Apothecary New York store in March 2017. Prices range from $250 to $695.
